FAST-CASUAL ELEVATED GREEK QSR, The Gyro Projectwww.thegyroproject.com, ; Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead daily operations at our fast-casual restaurant in New York City. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, exceptional team management skills, and a proven track record of driving both guest satisfaction and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all front- and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth service and high-quality guest experiences Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers, servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel Monitor financial performance including labor cost, food cost, and P&L management Implement and maintain operating procedures, standards, and health/safety compliance Manage scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations Foster a positive, productive work environment with a focus on staff engagement and retention Handle guest feedback with professionalism and resolve any service-related issues promptly Partner with ownership on marketing initiatives, events, and revenue growth strategies Maintain vendor relationships and inventory controls Qualifications: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant GM in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, financials, and compliance regulations Tech-savvy with POS systems and restaurant management software Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed NYC Food Protection Certificate (or ability to obtain) required Compensation: Competitive salary, performance-based bonus structure, health benefits, PTO, and dining discounts at all of our other brands.
